It started as a joke. And then it got real.

Hi, I’m Lon. For over a decade, I've been toying with the idea of launching a fashion line called Lon-gerie. Most fashion is designed to bring something out in the person wearing it. Confidence. Style. Beauty. Identity. I started wondering whether something we wear, carry, give or keep could also bring something out in someone else. That is what beauty means here. Not simply how someone looks, but what becomes possible between people.

Lon-gerie is a collection of clothing and objects designed around the ways garments are actually worn: opened, reversed, moved in, lived in and noticed.

Some pieces begin with words. Others begin with shape, movement, materials or a visual idea. Each one asks what the garment can add, rather than treating it as a blank surface.

Fashion that brings out beauty in others is the thread connecting them. Beauty can be playful, tender, surprising or simply a new way of seeing something familiar.
