It started as a joke. And then it got real.

Hi, I’m Lon. I'm a coach and consultant for nonprofits, but for over a decade, I've been toying with the slightly ridiculous idea of launching a fashion line called Lon-gerie. The name is a bit of a joke. The question underneath it isn’t: How might something a person wears bring out beauty in another person?

Most fashion is designed to bring something out in the person wearing it. Confidence. Style. Beauty. Identity. But what if something we wear could also bring something out in someone else? Could a T-shirt make someone smile? Could a sleeve invite an embrace? Could something we wear open a small moment of recognition between strangers?

What if another angle on lingerie was clothing that helped reveal something in another? What if everyday wear could create a different kind of intimacy between people? 'Fashion that brings out beauty in others' is the thread in all of this. Beauty can be playful, tender, surprising or simply a new way of seeing something familiar.
